With a day to kill in El Calafate we decided to visit the nearby Perito Moreno glacier.  The tickets for the day trip were easily arranged at the bus station in El Calafate.  Once we arrived at the glacier we spent the day exploring a series of boardwalks and hiking trails that lead to several viewing platforms of the glacier.  The deep blue of the glacier ice was mesmerizing against the backdrop of Los Glacieres National Park.  If you’re in the area I highly recommend taking a day to explore this beautiful glacier!
