Saguaro National Park to Kearny

May 21, 2021

March 27-April 3rd, 2021 Shortly after waking on day 11, I entered Saguaro National Park. Massive Saguaro cacti covered the mountainside on the climb up to Manning Camp. As I neared the camp saguaros gave way to ponderosa pine, and the air temperature cooled. After a long climb I camped at Manning Camp, at nearly … More Saguaro National Park to Kearny

March 22-26th, 2021 After a nice zero day in Patagonia it was time to continue north. It felt good to be back on the trail and the road walking north of Patagonia made for some quick and easy miles. On the afternoon of my 7th day the clear skies were replaced with dark clouds. There … More Patagonia to Saguaro National Park

All good thinks must come to an end. Coconuts this morning, now we’re in the Twin Cities watching the snow fall.
Had a blast swimming in our first cenote! Also ended up getting a new nickname. Many of the street vendors call me Mr. Whiskers. Senor Whiskers from now on!
Mexico is fun!!! Today we took a tour of Chichen Itza. It was really amazing to get a peek into this Mayan wonder. In particular, standing on the ball court, was very powerful.
