August 18th-21st, 2019 Tennessee Pass, CO For our second section of the Colorado Trail we planned to jump back on trail at Tennessee Pass(where we got off in 2018), and cover 172 miles to Hwy 114. CT-Breckenridge to Tennessee Pass

May 21, 2019

CT Segments 6-8, 38.6 miles   Day 9 After a fantastic zero day in Breckenridge we rejoined the trail to continue south.  As expected our legs felt sluggish climbing up an away from the valley floor. The pull of town was still strong as we hiked through an area of extreme beetle kill.  The trees … More CT-Breckenridge to Tennessee Pass

September 29, 2018

August 23rd, 2018-Waterton Canyon The trailhead was only a 20 minute ride from Denver.  Starting out we walked along a perfectly manicured dirt road.  There was a constant flow of bikers and walkers that passed as we gradually made our way up the canyon.  People smiled and waved as we passed them with our packs … More Colorado Trail-Setting out

All good thinks must come to an end. Coconuts this morning, now we’re in the Twin Cities watching the snow fall.
Had a blast swimming in our first cenote! Also ended up getting a new nickname. Many of the street vendors call me Mr. Whiskers. Senor Whiskers from now on!
Mexico is fun!!! Today we took a tour of Chichen Itza. It was really amazing to get a peek into this Mayan wonder. In particular, standing on the ball court, was very powerful.
